Checking the district heating network from the air
For Salzburg AG - an energy and infrastructure service provider - we carried out a thermal flight over Salzburg and Hallein on a cold December night. Based on the data collected, areas with poor thermal insulation in the pipelines can be identified and targeted repair work can be carried out. This increases efficiency, which in turn benefits the environment.
Just 4 days after the flight, we sent a few conspicuous spots to the client. After receiving information by telephone, the first leaks have already been repaired.
